IBM was eager to tell the public about its amazing advances in the development of robotics, despite the fact that the real ones were far less photogenic than the cuties in Star Wars. For this ad, my late husband Fred was hired to do the “comp.” The client liked his artwork so much that they decided to use it for the final. No, I didn’t get to arrive at the fee.
